Puppy leads police to wanted suspect in Osage Beach
Police confirmed late Friday afternoon a Mid-Missouri chase suspect was caught after escaping police earlier that same morning.
Barry Allenbrand is wanted in Kansas and also suspected of stealing from a store in Osage Beach on Thursday.
Around 5:30 a.m. Friday, officers chased him down Jeffries Road, where they used spike strips. He ditched his truck and took a brown pitbull puppy. Officers returned to the area later that day and saw a woman walking a brown puppy.
They followed her to a nearby apartment, where they found Allendbrand and arrested him without incident.
