Groups turn in signatures to recall Chadwick

Monday morning, COMO Council Watch along with other groups delivered 59 petition pages with 451 signatures to the city clerk’s office in an effort to recall First Ward Council Member Ginny Chadwick.

City officials said they’ll look through the signatures with the Boone County Clerk’s Office to determine if the signatures are registered first ward voters. To get the recall on the ballot for voters, those spearheading the effort will need 249 valid signatures. City officials said if not enough valid signatures have been collected, the groups would have 14 more days to get them.

City officials said if the 249 signatures can be validated by the city clerk, the Chadwick recall effort would then move on to the city council for review and then go onto the next election ballot for voters.
