NAACP Journey for Justice march makes its way into Mid-Missouri

The NAACP “Journey for Justice” march from Ferguson to Jefferson City moved into Mid-Missouri Wednesday as protesters made their way into Gasconade County.

ABC 17 talked to the march leader Wednesday, who said the road through Rosebud was lined with people, some who heckled the protesters.

The march is expected to reach Jefferson City by Friday.

Demonstrators are expected to arrive to the Capital City around noon by way of Highway 50 East. They’ll march to the Capitol from Monroe Street to Capitol Avenue. Their plan is to assemble at the Governor’s Gardens and march to the Capitol where they’ll say for an hour.

Protesters are expected to leave by 4:00 p.m.
