Columbia police: man admits robbing gas station

A Columbia man landed in jail after police say he confessed to robbing a local gas station with a gun.

JaJuan Williams was first taken into custody on Wednesday because of outstanding warrants. But during his interview, detectives say Williams admitted helping plan the Monday robbery with a former employee.

It happened in the Eagle Stop at the Philips 66 gas station near Providence and I-70.

On Friday officers confirmed a second suspect is still on the loose. Police later found a gun in Williams’ home.
