Suspect in October shooting arrested

Police found and arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting Columbia in October. During a traffic stop in north Columbia on Wednesday, officers learned the driver, Kyle Shepherd had an outstanding arrest warrant.

That warrant was connected to a shooting on East Broadway in Columbia that sent one person to the hospital. The victim was uncooperative with police, and no arrests were made at that point.

Shepherd, 22, was booked into jail on $50,000 bond.
