Marcus Murphy named a Hornung Award finalist
On Thursday, the University of Missouri football program announced senior tailback Marcus Murphy is one of five finalists for the Hornung Award, given to the most versatile player in college football.
Murphy is the only FBS player to score a touchdown this season in the four all-purpose categories with two kickoff returns scores, one punt return and one rushing and receiving touchdown.
Murphy is one of only four FBS players to have a score this season via kickoff and punt return and holds Mizzou’s career record for the most combined kick return, kick off return, punt return TDs and punt return yardage.
