New details released on Dixon child remains

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating a child’s death.

Investigators think the victim is between 8 and 13 years old, and possibly Native American or Hispanic.

A woman found a skull last year near Dixon while taking photos.

Less than two weeks ago, the FBI brought in dogs to search for clues.

They didn’t find anything, but officials did get some new leads.

Sheriff Ron Long said he’s willing to try anything to get his department closer to a resolution.

“We’re just keeping our fingers crossed that something does come in that can give us a little shove towards, like I said, identifying who this child is, and once we do, then we can figure out why he or she was up in Dixon last year laying beside the roadway,” said Long.

Federal agents were looking in a field near Highway 28, south of Highway D.
