Columbia man booked into jail for murder

A man has been booked into jail nearly a week after police say he stabbed and killed his wife.

Donald Rowland has been in the hospital since October 31. According to court documents, that’s when Rowland killed his wife and tried to kill himself. Documents claim Rowland wanted to end his and his wife’s lives so they wouldn’t be a burden to their family.

Rowland was in the hospital until yesterday, when was booked into the Boone County Jail for murder and armed criminal action.
