Audrain Co. man accused of killing wife pleads not guilty

A Mexico man accused of killing his wife in Audrain County pleaded not guilty in court Friday.

Rick Harding Jr. told ABC 17 News his wife died after the gun accidentally went off while she was carrying it.

Harding asked the judge to be transferred to a different jail, but the judge denied that request.

Harding is charged with second degree murder, armed criminal action, domestic assault, and 4 counts of endangering the life of a child in the May death of Summer Hickman.
