MFA to start construction on Moberly Facility

The MFA oil company started phase one of construction on a facility in Moberly Thursday.

The entire project should be completed by the end of 2015.

Construction crews showed up Thursday morning to the 33 acre site in Moberly’s industrial park. This will be the home of MFA oil’s business support campus.

The farmer owned co-op said during the first phase of construction, the main office, warehouse, and multiple other departments will be finished.

Construction crews will finish the truck maintenance department and a lubricant storage facility during the second phase.

MFA oil said it wants to have the facility open by the end of next year.

In a statement, Corey Mehaffey with the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation said, “We are excited about the start of construction on MFA Oil’s property and about moving forward to make the site an economic engine for Moberly.”

Among a handful of area businesses, MFA oil also runs Break Time convenience stores in Mid-Missouri.
