MFA Oil begins construction in Moberly

MFA Oil Co. is starting construction on a new state-of-the-art facility in Moberly. Economic development officials said MFA’s new business support campus will give the area a boost.

MFA Oil, the farmer-owned co-op, said during the first phase of construction, the main office, warehouse and multiple other departments will be finished. Construction crews will finish the truck maintenance department and a lubricant storage faculty during the second phase.

MFA Oil said it wants to have the facility open by the end of 2015. In a statement, Corey Mehaffy with the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation said “We are excited about the start of construction on MFA Oil’s property and about moving forward to make this site an economic engine for Moberly.”

Among a handful of area businesses, MFA Oil also runs Break Time convenience stores in Mid-Missouri. The company also supplies fuels, lubricants and propane to customer in Missouri and numerous other states.
