Columbia police investigate two reports of shots fired over the weekend

Columbia police are investigating two reported shots fired incidents that happened over the weekend.

On Saturday night just after 7 p.m., multiple callers reported hearing shots fired in the area of Edenton and Bodie Drive.

Officers were told a car with several bullet holes went to the police station downtown and left the car without talking to an officer.

Police said no injuries were reported, but they’re still investigating the incident.

Then, just after 2a.m. Sunday morning, officers heard multiple shots fired at the Senior Center off Business Loop 70 in Columbia.

Police said they saw a black Kia Forte traveling northbound on Range Line Street from Lakeview speeding and driving erratically.

This led to a short pursuit that stopped at St. Charles Road.

Three cars in the lot of the Senior Center were hit by gunfire and police found five shell casings.

No one was injured. Police said there were no witnesses and there is no suspect information.

If you have any information about any of the incidents, you’re asked to call Columbia police or Crime Stoppers at 573-875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
