Columbia man now accused of fourth robbery in Boonville
One man currently behind bars for three robberies in Columbia is now accused of one more, but this time in Boonville, and the second suspect in that crime remains on the loose. Police believe Joshua Harrington, 23, from Columbia, also held up the Breaktime south location on May 17, holding what appears to be an assault rifle.
Harrington was initially picked up for a car chase and robbery at the Missouri Credit Union on Buttonwood Drive in south Columbia September 24. He was later tied to hold-ups at Landmark Bank on Kennesaw Ridge Road August 6 and an earlier robbery at the same Missouri Credit Union June 21.
A warrant has since been issued for Daniel Diaz from Kirksville for first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. He and Harrington were identified as suspects in the May Boonville robbery with assistance from the public.
In the September robbery, court documents claim Harrington and another man, Vicente Soto, 27, also from Kirksville, ran into the Missouri Credit Union in Columbia, where Harrington jumped behind the teller counter and took money from cash drawers.
Police chased the men through north Columbia until they both got out of the car near Paris and Vandiver. Police had one of them at gunpoint at Garnet and Parker after he escaped in a short foot pursuit, according to emergency scanner traffic. Another was taken into custody a short time later.
