UPDATE: Four die, two children hurt in Morgan County crash

Four people died in a head-on car crash Friday night in Morgan County, near Otterville.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report said Kelsey Toebben, 22, of Jefferson City attempted to pass a semi on U.S. 50 East around 8:30 p.m. Her car collided with a Volvo driving in the westbound lane near the highway’s intersection with State Highway 135, south of Otterville. Philip Allen, 42, of Rolla drove the Volvo, and died at the scene of the crash. Toebben also died in the crash, according to the crash report.

Carin Allen, 44, died in the car Philip Allen drove. An ambulance took Patrick Allen, 14, to University Hospital, while a helicopter took Corrina Allen, 12, to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Both are in serious condition.

A Staff for Life helicopter took the passenger of Toebben’s car, Justin Gaddis, 25, of Knob Noster to University Hospital. Gaddis died around 2:30 a.m. at the hospital.

The crash report said both drivers wore seat belts.
