Cameron Biedscheid off MU basketball team

Missouri basketball head coach Kim Anderson announced guard Cameron Biedscheid is no longer part of the MU basketball team. Biedscheid (Cardinal Ritter H.S./St. Louis, Mo.) was a transfer from Notre Dame.

“Cameron will no longer be a part of our basketball program as he attends to personal matters,” Anderson said in his statement. “We wish him and his family all he best and hope everyonewill respect their privacy during this period of time.”

Biedscheid never played a minute for the Tigers. He transferred over from Notre Dame in January. He played in 34 games with the Irish, averaging 6.2 points per game. At Cardinal Ritter High School, Biedsheid averaged 31.7 points per game and was named the 2012 Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year.

This is the fourth player that has either left the program or been dismissed in Kim Anderson’s short tenure as MU head coach. Shane Rector was granted a transfer out of the Columbia while Helias product Danny Feldmann left the team. Torren Jones was dismissed from the team in August for an unspecified violation of team rules.
