New J-turns in Boone County open Monday morning
The new J-turns at Highway 63 and Hinton in Boone County opened Monday at around 11:30 a.m.
MODOT began the project back in June. It’s a dangerous Boone County intersection.
Highway 63 and Hinton Road is the site of dozens of crashes.
According to MODOT, there have been 53 crashes at the intersection in the last 10 years. Two of those have been deadly.
The J-turns have been put in to reduce traffic accidents and to make it easier for drivers making a left from either side of Highway 63.
