CFD responds to early morning dorm fire on Mizzou campus

The Columbia Fire Department responded to an early morning dorm fire on the University of Missouri campus Sunday.

Crews responded to 1202 Rollins Street, Hudson Hall, for a water flow alarm just before 2 a.m., but the call was upgraded to a structure fire just one minute later.

Firefighters put out a fire that was contained to one room of the building by the sprinkler system.

All students were evacuated and fire crews said no one was injured.

The University of Missouri Residential Life is working with residents who have reported water damage to personal items.

The fire is still under investigation and there were no damage estimates as of Sunday afternoon.
