MU fire training trailer damaged following St. Louis shooting, crash

A University of Missouri Fire and Rescue Training Institute trailer was damaged following gunfire and a crash in St. Louis early Friday morning.

According to FOX 2 KTVI in St. Louis, a 25-year-old man was driving just after 2:00 a.m, when another car drove up and starting shooting at him.

The driver ducked to avoid the shots, causing him to crash through the fence of the St. Louis Fire Department. The suspect followed the victim into the property.

ABC 17 News confirmed a MU Fire trailer was struck by the victim’s car and was damaged, but the extent of the damage is unknown. The trailer was in St. Louis for training at the Academy.

The victim was hit in the buttocks by a single gunshot, and was listed as stable at an area hospital.
