Three deadly crashes over Labor Day counting period

The holiday traffic crash counting period started Friday at 6:00 p.m. and ended at midnight Tuesday morning.

During that time, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated 293 crashes, which included 111 injuries and three deaths, down from 8 deaths last year.

None of those deadly crashes were in Mid-Missouri.

There were no deaths on Missouri’s waterways over the holiday weekend. Overall, there were 11 boating crashes and 4 injuries. No drownings were reported.

Last year, there were no fatalities, but there were 9 crashes and 7 injuries.
