Man connected to Columbia murder sentenced to 15 years on drug charges

A man connected to a 2013 Columbia murder was sentenced to 15 years in prison for drug charges Tuesday.

Samuel Butler pleaded guilty to attempted distribution of a controlled substance. Butler was originally charged with second degree murder, but that charge was amended.

Another man accused in the case, Domionte Cheatum, was found guilty of murder, robbery, and armed criminal action on June 12.
