Emergency crews respond to water rescues

The heavy rain has emergency officials reminding drivers to be careful as they have already responded to a water rescue.

Around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Columbia and Boone County firefighters were called out to Old Millcreek and Highway KK.

Emergency crews found a vehicle in high moving water and the occupant on top of the car. The rescue boat was sent in to remove the person.

The road has since closed.

ABC 17 News has also heard at least three rescue operations in Callaway County.
