Columbia man arrested after fight, threatened to kill children

Columbia Police responded to a fight between a man and a woman on early Monday morning in the 2000 block of Whispering Meadows Court.

When they arrived, the man, 23-year-old Edmond Randolph, was gone. The woman had a cut on her arm from and was taken to the emergency room by ambulance.

Randolph was reportedly upset with the woman and punched her in the face. Randolph knocked her to the floor and took a plate from the dish rack and threw it at her. During the fight, Randolph threatened to kill her four kids who were home at the time.

The woman was able to escape to a neighbor’s home to call 9-1-1.

Randolph was arrested about an hour later on Aztec Boulevard. He was arrested for first degree domestic assault, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful for certain persons to have a concealed weapon, and felony unlawful use of a weapon.
