Teen accused of robbing drunk victim near MU campus
A Columbia teenager was arrested on Tuesday, after police say a highly intoxicated man was jumped walking home earlier this month near College and University Avenue.
Investigators say they tied Darrell Grimes to the robbery after a woman bought a stolen Apple 5S phone. Officers say Grimes refused to give her back her money, even though her phone kept displaying lost messages.
The man claims two suspects punched him in the face around 12:30 a.m. in the early morning of August 2, before taking his cell phone.
