Day 4 of protests continue in St. Louis area

Another day of protests unfolded Tuesday in suburban St. Louis following the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager, Mike Brown, over the weekend.

The chaos started days ago as riots and looting broke out in Ferguson.

St. Louis Police were supposed to hold a press conference giving new details into that shooting, but cancelled it, saying they didn’t want to release the name of the police officer who killed Brown.

Protesters gathered in Clayton Tuesday morning.

ABC 17 heard from protest organizer Zaki Baruti at the site of the protest.

“St. Louis, our problem is not in Hamas. Our problem is not in Afghanistan, Iraq. Our problem is right here in the United States of America, in Clayton, Missouri, in Ferguson, where black people are being dogged.”

Monday night, tear gas and gunshots erupted as protesters gathered yet again in Ferguson.

Brown’s parents asked for calm to honor their son. The investigation continues into Brown’s death, and the FBI is involved.

ABC 17 will continue to follow the latest developments from the St. Louis area Wednesday.
