Bear Creek flood

Bear Creek flooded this morning causing the evacuation of one woman from her home. One additional home had to have it’s utilities shut off by firefighters because of possible home flooding.

The flood water spilled into the Blue Ridge trailer park, causing damage to several trailers.

Bear Creek is expected to flood again tonight because of additional rainfall.

Blue Ridge resident Monica Ganoe said, “I felt like, you know, it’s out of our control. Even with the fire personnel here and the police, there’s nothing anybody can do. It’s mother nature. “
