Highway 41 now closed until fall to replace bridge west of Boonville

Bridge work is closing down a highway west of Boonville until late October.

Construction started this week on Highway 41, after high flood waters on the Lamine River caused some delays. A detour will now send drivers on Route K through Blackwater.

The old bridge was built back in the 1930s. The new structure will be wider, and cost more than 2 million dollars. The road is expected to reopen by October 21.
