Suspect on the run after robbing Kingdom City Post Office

A man is on the run after robbing the Kingdom City Post Office Saturday morning.

Callaway County Sheriff’s deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a man came into the post office just before 10 a.m. carrying a black and dark blue backpack.

After the robbery, law enforcement said the man left on a small black motorcycle, possibly a Honda Rebel or similar model. He was heading north on Highway 54.

Before the robbery, the suspect was seen driving west on US 40 past Van’s Garage. He was being followed by a blue/green Chevrolet Silverado.

The occupants of that truck are asked to call the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department or the Postal Inspection Service.

The suspect is described as a white man in his thirties or younger with short, sandy blonde hair, stubble on his face and is between five foot ten and six feet tall.

He was seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans, a beanie style black motorcycle helmet and wrap around sunglasses with white frames.

Anyone who has information about the the robbery is asked to call the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department.

The U.S. Postal Inspection service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for the arrest and conviction of the man responsible.
