Los Angeles Lakers introduce Jordan Clarkson
The Los Angeles Lakers introduced former Missouri guard Jordan Clarkson as the newest member of the team on Monday. Clarkson, selected in the second round (46th overall) by Washington, was shipped to Los Angeles during June’s NBA draft.
He is the first Lakers rookie from Missouri since Kareem Rush. Rush was selected by Toronto in the 2002 NBA draft before being traded to the Lakers. Clarkson was the only player from MU to be selected in the 2014 NBA draft.
The San Antonio, Tx. native average 17.5 points and 3.4 assists for the Tigers last season.
Clarkson will participate in the Las Vegas Summer League starting July 11th.
