Deputies investigate shooting northeast of Columbia
Boone County deputies were called to a home northeast of Columbia early Monday for reports of a shooting.
It happened around 5 a.m. at a home in the 5300 block of Trikalla Drive in the Lake of the Woods area.
Investigators say a 33-year-old was shot in the stomach by one of three masked men who kicked in the door. He was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, but his condition is not known at this time.
A woman and boy were at home at the time of the shooting, but were not injured.
The suspects are described as black males, one of whom was wearing a black shirt.
