Lake-area thieves target businesses with guns

Authorities in two Lake of the Ozarks-area counties were looking for repeat gun thieves.

According to a news release, a Miller County auction house was burglarized sometime overnight between June 10 and June 11. A

Surveillance cameras caught a white man in a St. Louis Cardinals shirt and a blonde woman in an orange tube top taking two shotguns from a display case.

They drove away from the scene in a black four-door car.

Then on June 15, Osage Beach police responded to a burglary at a pawn shop. Five handguns and a roll of collector coins, called V nickles, had been taken.

Surveillance cameras caught a man breaking display cases and then driving off in a newer model black car.

Authorities in both Miller and Camden Counties believed the suspects were the same.

Anyone with information about the burglaries was asked to call the Osage Beach Police Department at 573-302-2010 ext. 309.
