Vehicle missing after driving into home
A Cole County family got a rude awakening early Wednesday morning when a vehicle drove into their living room and then backed out and left.
The incident happened around 3:17 a.m. in the 4700 block of Henwick Lane and was being investigated by the Cole County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect vehicle is described as a large red pick-up truck, possibly a Ford or Dodge with extensive front-end damage. Authorities found debris near Route T and Business 50, but the truck was not there.
Captain John Wheeler told ABC 17 News a $500 reward would be offered through CrimeStoppers for information leading to an arrest.
