Jefferson City Council hears about MoDOT projects

If Amendment 7 is passed by voters on August 5, it could raise about $5.4 billion statewide.
In Jefferson City the money could mean improving JeffTran by adding four hours of daily service to the current schedule.
At Jefferson City’s Memorial Airport the runway would be extended to handle larger aircraft.
Bridge repairs around Cole County are also on the list of projects.
The Route A bridge over Moreau Creek, Highway 54 eastbound bridge over Neighorn Creek, and the 179 bridge over Rock Creek would be replaced if voters approve the amendment.
A public meeting is scheduled for June 19 from 4 to 7p.m at the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce.
