Capital Mall TIF approved by Jefferson City
Tuesday night a Jefferson City TIF commission approved tax increment financing for the Capital Mall.
ABC 17 News was told in May that construction at the mall would likely begin by the end of the month.
We asked why construction hasn’t started in mid-June. We found out mall management was waiting for final approval from the city before they started the multi-million dollar project.
The mall redevelopment will happen in five phases and cost about $35 million.
We’re told construction is still in the planning stages and the public could start seeing changes at the mall by the end of the summer.
