Mizzou wrestling adds assistant head coach, Alex Clemsen

Friday, Mizzou wrestling announced their adding Alex Clemsen, a Moberly native, to their staff as the new head assistant coach.

Clemsen spent the last 5 years at the University of Virginia.

MU wrestling head coach Brian Smith is familiar with Clemsen from his first years at MU when Clemsen came to camps.

Clemsen’s coached 38 NCAA qualifiers, six all-Americans and eight ACC championships at UVA and lead the team to a program best ranking at 11th.

Off the mat, the Cavs wrestling team recorded the fifth best team GPA a in the country two years ago.
