Rock Bridge baseball team wins state championship and on Cloud 9

Three days after winning the school’s first baseball state title, Rock Bridge is still celebrating.

The Bruins defeated Francis Howell 9-6 at T.R. Hughes Ballpark on Friday.

This marks the school’s third state title – golf and girl’s basketball. The positive attitude stayed consistent and so it the feeling of winning it all.

“I don’t know. We always knew this team was special. But as soon as we got here, we knew nothing was stopping us as soon as we got to this point. So it was a huge relief. We knew we were going to do it. And that dog pile at the end was the best,” said Kyle Teter, Rock Bridge infielder.

Head coach Justin Towe said, “I’m gonna take it in. Actually, all next week, I’m gonna be at a beach in Cabo. It’s gonna be a perfect ending to this year. And I tell you what, I’m just on cloud nine.”
