House destroyed in early-morning fire

A home in Boone County was damaged by fire early Monday morning. Firefighters were called to the home in the 15,000 block of Old Number 7 off Highway 124 shortly after midnight.

Crews arrived to find the house completely on fire. Firefighters later determined the home to be a total loss.

There are no reported injuries from the fire. The home was a rental, but there was no one living there at the time.

Investigators continue to look for what caused the fire.
