Helias’ Hale Hentges commits to Alabama

Helias tight end Hale Hentges announced he committed to Alabama on Sunday. Hentges is wildly regarded as a 4-star recruit and one of the top prospects in the state of Missouri.

“After much deliberation and prayer, I have decided to play football at The University of Alabama! #RollTide,” Hentges tweeted.

Mizzou was a program thought to be one of the favorites to land Hentges before he committed to Nick Saban’s squad. The Helias product also considered Ohio State, Auburn, Florida State and many others.

A stand-out athlete for the Crusaders, Hentges led the Helias basketball and football teams to state appearances. Helias football took runner-up in Class 4 while the basketball team finished third in the Class 4 tournament.

Hentges finished last season with 61 catches for 940 yards and 15 touchdowns
