St. Louis woman dies in Camdenton stabbing
A St. Louis woman is dead and her husband faces a murder charge after a stabbingearly Sunday morning in Camdenton near the Lake of the Ozarks.
Officers were called to a home at 89 Lakeview Drive for a woman who had cuts on her arms.
Officers found 28-year-old Danielle Bell lying on the floor in the basement in a pool of blood.
According to court documents, Bell appeared to have several stab wounds, including a puncture wound to her left side and right wrist.
She was conscious when she was found.
Two witnesses in the home at the time were upstairs and heard screaming and a loud crash.
One witness found Bell and 50-year-old Calvin Kyles fighting and separated them.
Documents revealed Kyles aid he was sorry and ran out the back door and left in a pickup truck.
When paramedics arrived, they asked Bell who hurt her, and she responded, “my boyfriend.”
“I would just encourage people to know the warning signs of domestic violence and do some education on what resources you have in your area to assist either yourself or a family or friend,” said Camdenton Police Chief, Laura Wright.
Kyles was arrested north of El Dorado Springs at around 8:00 later that morning and told police he had been married to Bell for 8 years, and the two had an argument the night before at a bar.
Kyles was charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in Bell’s death.
He remained in jail Monday afternoon without bond.
