Mizzou holds Kansas in reignited border war 6-3 in NCAA Regional

In a reignited Border War, the No. 15 Mizzou softball team beat Kansas 6 -3 in the Columbia Regional NCAA Softball Tournament.

After a rough start with the umpire calling Emily Crane out at home plate and head coach Ehren Earleywine fighting the call, Mizzou’s offense got back on track.

At the top of the second, Kirsten Mack hit a home run to left field. Mackenzie Sykes and Mack score two runs for the Tigers.

Angela Randazzo would hit another home run at the top of the 5th giving Mizzou a 5-0 run.

The Jayhawks rallied at the top of the seventh for get within three runs. Mizzou holds off the Kansas offense to win 6-3.

Missouri plays Sunday at noon in the Regional Final.
