Chicago man changes plea in “high level” drug case

A Jefferson City man once considered a “high level” heroin dealer in mid-Missouri changed his plea to guilty for a number of federal drug charges last week.

Tracy Davis, 44, entered the plea in federal court on Thursday.

Court documents indicated that Davis, originally from Chicago, had dealt heroin and morphine. He was arrested and charged in early 2013, as part of as Jefferson City heroin roundup that netter 34 alleged dealers.

According to federal court filings, Davis had been remanded back to custody of the State of Missouri on Thursday.

His sentencing had not yet been set on Saturday afternoon.
