Boone County Joint Communication’s recieved world wide accreditation
On Thursday the Boone County Joint Communications Center is now world renowned.
The International Academies of Emergency Dispatch formally recognized Boone County Joint Communications making it one of only 27 fire dispatch centers with this level of accreditation world wide.
It is an application process where Joint Communications had to meet 20 points in three different areas to achieve the excellence level.
Most of the point deal with policies and procedures, compliance to protocol, as well as certification and training.
Carlynn Page the Associate Director of the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch told ABC 17 News that this means Columbia and Boone County have some of the best dispatchers in the world.
“For Boone County this means that the citizens of Boone County are getting the absolute best care available, and it has been documented and demonstrated in an external validation from an international standard setting organization,” said Page.
