Suspect arrested in adult store armed robbery

Columbia police have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery at a central Columbia store.

Derrick Webster of Columbia is suspected of robbing the Passions adult store on the Business Loop near College Avenue on April 13th. Webster was arrested on charges including armed criminal action and first degree robbery.

The Columbia Police Department says it received two Crimestopper reports identifying Webster as the robbery suspect. A photo line-up was then shown to the victim, who also identified Webster.

Investigators say Webster went into the store, picked up two videos, but when he got to the clerk, he pulled out a gun, demanding money.

Webster left with cash, and it is unknown if he fled on foot or in a car. No one was injured.
