Man charged for having meth on Demaret Drive

Following multiple shots fired complaints from neighbors, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department investigated an apartment at 765 Demaret Drive Tuesday.

Investigators found a digital scale, drug packaging material, drug paraphernalia, and a small amount of methamphetamine.

They also found a 9mm handgun.

18-year-old Dillon Ames was arrested and charged for felony possession of a controlled substance.

Ames told deputies he was a regular user of illegal drugs.
