Car crashes into Columbia apartments
Residents at a south Columbia apartment complex are back home after a car went crashing into a building.
The accident happened Thursday at Gateway Apartments on Buttonwood Drive, by Nifong Boulevard.
No one was hurt, but firefighters have to add temporary supports and inspectors were called out to make sure the building was safe before letting people return.
Investigators say a resident of the complex was pulling into a space and accidentally hit the gas instead of the break.
