Two Columbia men arrested in drug trafficking investigation

Two Columbia men were arrested Wednesday afternoon in response to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

The Columbia Police Department of Vice Narcotics and Organized Crime detectives had a search warrant at a home at 4600 Fenimore Drive.

Police found about 6 pounds of marijuana at the home, where they arrested 22-year-old Joshua Dillick and 23-year-old Nicholas Kampe.

The pair was was taken into police custody for felony distribution, delivery, manufacture, and production of a controlled substance.

Further investigation revealed more than a pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $23,000 in cash at a home at 911 East Ash Street, where Kampe allegedly lived.

The U.S. Postal Inspector office is also involved in the investigation.

The two have not been formally charged, and the case is under review.

Bond was set at $20,000 cash only for each suspect.
