Leaf fire destroys home at Lake of the Ozarks
On Monday authorities confirmed burning leaves sparked a large house fire over the weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks.
When crews arrived early Saturday, the house at 33 Gardenia Lane in Sunrise Beach was already engulfed in flames, which were spreading into the attic.
Because of the narrow driveways, firefighters had to stretch over 400 feet of hose across a yard and down an embankment.
Units from three other agencies also responded.
