A Moberly man was charged in federal court Wednesday for having counterfeit bills.

Kevin McCuiston, 36, is accused of having 49 fake $50 bills.

He was charged Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City.

According to the indictment, McCuiston had the counterfeit bills in his possession on December 6, 2013.

A federal grand jury Wednesday also charged a St. Joseph man with passing a counterfeit bill in Columbia last year, in a separate case.
