Bauer, Siegfried ready to join Mizzou in the fall

Two future Tigers say they are anxious to get down to Mizzou after holding their signing ceremonies this week.

Mizzou football signee Andy Bauer said the coaching staff was the reason why he decided to attend Missouri. Bauer, a former Ole Miss commit, said he had a strong relationship with Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel and Missouri offensive coordinator Josh Henson. He also said the pipeline of former De Smet players heading to Mizzou, which include Wes Kemp and Robert Steeples, made the decision easier.

Jimmy Siegfried is also going to Mizzou after he signed with Mark Leroux and Missouri golf. Siegfried, a senior at De Smet, is currently ranked No. 1 in the state of Missouri. He said he always wanted to represent the home state. The star golfer also said he felt inspired by the pro careers of former MU golfers like Jace Long and Peter Malnati.
