Morning Meteorologist

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Morning Meteorologist’s duties include anchoring and producing forecasts for morning newscasts and extended coverage of severe weather. The position will be responsible for maintaining the station’s website and social media pages. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS: The right candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, have strong organizational skills, comfortable on camera and strong professional appearance. Prefer an experienced meteorologist who is family with Triton I-7 Radar system, Weather Central graphics or like computer capability.

HOURS/SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00am – 11:00am with flexibility required by the employee.

EDUCATION: A college degree in meteorology, atmospheric sciences or a related field is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The position will require operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for business use. Candidate must pass a drug test, background check, and MVR check.
