Man killed, woman seriously injured in Christmas Eve crash

An Osage Beach man was killed in a single-car crash on Christmas Eve.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Kenneth Parsons, 63, was driving northbound on Midway Road around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday when he crossed the center line and ran off the opposite side of the road.

The car hit an embankment, became airborne, hit a tree and overturned. Parsons was partially ejected.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say Parsons was not wearing a seat belt.

A passenger in the car, Eugena Parsons, 55, of Eldon, was transported by helicopter to University Hospital with serious injuries. The crash report says she was not wearing a seat belt.
